Website Development

That depends, among other things, on the preparation and the scope of the website.

Once all the information is available, you can generally expect it to take about three to four weeks for the website to be completed and ready for your approval.

I’ll provide you with a checklist for preparation, as well as questions regarding the collection and processing of data subject to privacy regulations, in advance.

Yes, all the websites I create are responsive and compatible with all mobile devices.

Once all requirements and design preferences have been clarified, you’ll receive a link to a preview page. There, you can track the progress at any time and make changes if something doesn’t meet your expectations.

This means you won’t be presented with a finished product only after weeks of work—instead, you’ll be able to check on the booth regularly and receive updates from me as we reach milestones.

Until the website goes live, as the website creator, I am responsible for ensuring it is properly designed in accordance with the GDPR. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you submit.

A simple example:

If the legal notice or privacy policy is missing or incomplete at launch—that’s the web designer’s responsibility.

The data provided to me for creating the legal notice or privacy policy is incorrect—this is the responsibility of the website operator.

For this reason, I always apply the dual-review principle together with my clients, so that we both review the content and immediately report any discrepancies. Additionally, you review the website for correct content and information before acceptance and confirm this in the acceptance report.

There are a number of mistakes that both website creators and web design agencies can make. The most common ones are:

  • Infringement of copyright or trademark rights
  • Unauthorized use of images or text
  • Privacy policy is missing or incomplete
  • Legal notice is missing or incomplete
  • Contact form is not designed to be legally compliant
  • Social media buttons are not integrated in a GDPR-compliant manner
  • Google services such as Maps, Analytics, or Fonts are not integrated in a GDPR-compliant manner
Yes. You’ll be given access to your site’s backend, where you can edit content as you see fit. Depending on your level of expertise, you can even manage the website entirely on your own. If you’d rather focus on your business, I’ll take care of it for you—that’s what our maintenance contracts are for.

Yes. I will send you a quote with a fixed price for the requested service.

I lay the groundwork: The websites are structured so that keywords relevant to the text are incorporated, and a corresponding plugin makes them visible to search engines. This ensures your website can be found in Google Search.

Keyword research, ongoing tracking, and working with Google tools—which allow search terms to be continuously adapted to visitor behavior—are not included in my services. This field is extensive and constantly changing—it requires a specialist who focuses exclusively on it.

Maintenance Contracts

Included in each of the three packages:

  • Regular checks for updates to WordPress, the theme, and plugins, followed by a functionality test
  • Regular backups of the current website
  • Free restoration in the event of a website crash
  • Integration of a cookie consent tool
  • Integration of legally drafted templates for the legal notice and privacy policy
  • Reduced hourly rate for modification work
  • Term: 12 months, annual payment

The frequency of checks and backups, how quickly you receive a response, and whether the legal texts are automatically updated depend on the package. The differences are listed in the overview of maintenance contracts.

With the Plus and Pro plans, the privacy policy and legal notice are updated as soon as legal requirements change or new cookies and tools are added that must be reflected in the cookie consent tool and the privacy policy.

This allows you to keep your website up to date without any effort on your part.

Yes, of course. I'll send you a quote for that.

The contract may be terminated up to the last day of its term. Unless terminated, it is automatically renewed for the original term.

You can do so informally by phone or email. I will send you a confirmation that I have received your notice of cancellation.

Web Hosting & Domains

Yes. I run my own server, where I set up web space for my clients.

The benefit for you: I can tailor the server to your project’s requirements and provide the performance it actually needs.

These are the three pricing plans that, based on experience, work best for most projects. If your project requires something different, I'll put together a customized quote for you.

Yes. All domains come with free Let’s Encrypt certificates by default.

If you need enhanced security, you can also order paid, validated SSL certificates from RapidSSL or AlphaSSL.

Under Article 28 of the GDPR, a data processing agreement is required if you, as a user of my products or services, process personal data. By entering into this agreement, I commit to you to comply with the obligations of a data processor.

If you purchase web hosting from me or if I host your website on my servers, I will send you the agreement without you having to request it. You should return it to me, signed, by mail or email.

Software & Plugins

No. Both run in the browser—on computers, tablets, and smartphones. No app, no download, no updates: just open your browser and log in. The user interface and features are the same on all devices.

On a server in Germany. Hosting, updates, and support are included in the monthly price.

Within the portal, a role-based system determines who can see what: Each employee has a base role, and additional permissions selectively grant access to further areas.

Yes. Webcraft Forms is a WordPress plugin and works on any WordPress website. The free version is available from the WordPress directory; you can unlock the premium features using your license key. The form data remains on your own website.

You can test Webcraft Time Tracking for 30 days with your own data—fully set up and with no obligation. There’s also a free trial for the employee portal. The free version of Webcraft Forms remains free indefinitely, with no time limit.

Time tracking and the employee portal are usually up and running within a day. Based on our experience, training takes about a quarter of an hour per employee.

Yes. Your workflows determine how the software looks—not the other way around. You describe how your company operates, and you get an application that follows exactly that process. It runs in a browser on any device without installation, is hosted on German servers, and operation, maintenance, and support are all provided by a single provider.

Yes. You get exactly the features your business needs for your website—with a dedicated backend interface that lets you manage everything yourself. Secure download areas, customer surveys, and promotional pages for campaigns.
