just recruiting’s new website has been online since September 14, 2026.
just recruiting is a brand of HR-Recruiting Services GmbH, based in Berlin, and supports companies in two areas: permanent staffing and flexible recruiting support through freelance recruiters.
The task at hand was not a traditional expansion of the existing website. The previous marketplace approach was deliberately abandoned and replaced with a clear, well-organized information and brand site.
From proposal to go-live, the project took just under four weeks.
From a Marketplace to a Targeted Corporate Website
The previous website was designed as a recruiting marketplace. For the new site, the focus needed to be much clearer.
No job board, no registration, and no complex application process. Instead, the website should answer three questions as quickly as possible:
Who is Just Recruiting? What does the company offer? And how can I get in touch?
The two business units—Executive Search and Freelance Recruiting—therefore each have their own landing page and user navigation.
From the Design Template to the Finished Website
The visual concept was specified by just recruiting itself. At the start of the project, a design template, logo, colors, text, contact information, and other content were already available.
My task, therefore, was not to develop a new corporate design, but to translate the existing design into a functional website.
Spacing, font sizes, heights, and layouts were implemented in such a way that the visual appearance works not only on desktops but also on tablets and smartphones.
Where a layout from the template could not be transferred one-to-one in a responsive manner, a suitable alternative was developed in consultation with the client.
WordPress, Elementor, and Custom Components
Technically, the website is based on WordPress, a theme custom-built for the project, and Elementor.
For some design elements, the existing standard widgets were not sufficient. Therefore, custom Elementor components were also used.
These include, for example, the central “Orbit” display on the homepage as well as custom elements for showcasing the team.
The mobile navigation was also specifically tailored to the website and opens as a side panel on smaller devices.
The finished pages were then tested across a wide range of screen widths—from large desktop monitors to smartphones.
Privacy and SEO
The fonts used are loaded locally from our own web server. A connection to external font services is not required for this.
A consent system is used for services that require consent. The contact form provided by HubSpot is not loaded until visitors have consented to its use.
The existing privacy policy has also been updated to reflect the services actually in use.
Custom page titles and meta descriptions have been configured for search engines. In addition, there is an XML sitemap as well as appropriate preview data for sharing pages on social media.
Testing & PageSpeed
Before the website went live, it was also technically tested using my own testing software.
Among other things, the technical aspects, search engine optimization, accessibility, metadata, links, and page structure were checked.
For example, 20 instances of insufficient color contrast were identified and corrected prior to publication.
The result:
61 out of 61 checkpoints passed.
Google PageSpeed Insights also shows very good scores in the desktop measurement:
- 99 Performance
- 100 Accessibility
- 100 Best Practices
- 100 SEO
The result
Today, just recruiting has a website that is much more focused than its predecessor.
The two service areas are clearly separated from one another; visitors can quickly find the right starting point, and the website works equally well on desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
At the same time, the team can maintain and further develop the content themselves.
Many thanks to just recruiting and HR-Recruiting Services GmbH for their trust and the pleasant collaboration.
